Bedford, VA : Goodview man dies after a wreck on Virginia 616 in Bedford County on Saturday afternoon, April 16, 2016

A Goodview man died Saturday afternoon after crashing on Virginia 616 in Bedford County, according to a state police news release.

According to the news release, Caleb Wayne Drewery, 25, was driving a 1996 Honda Civic a half-mile west of Virginia 1600 when his car ran off the left side of the road and hit several trees at 2:24 p.m. Drewery was not wearing a seat belt, according to the release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 12-year-old boy riding in the car was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with injuries, according to the release. The severity of his injuries was unclear Saturday evening.
