ST. LOUIS, MO : 1 dead, 3 injured in I-70 car crash in North City on Saturday, 2nd March 2024

A woman is dead, and two others are in the hospital after a car crash early Saturday.

Police responded to the westbound lanes of I-70 near West Florissant at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday for a crash involving two vehicles. The preliminary investigation shows that a 2019 Toyota CHR was driving fast on westbound I-70 when attempting to change lanes, it clipped the left rear corner of a 2013 Freightliner, causing the Toyota to overturn and slide along the left shoulder.

The passenger in the front seat of the Toyota, a woman in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man driving the car and a woman who was in the backseat were taken to a hospital, where they are listed as being in stable condition.

The driver of the Freightliner was not injured.
