COSHOCTON, OH : A fatal all-terrain vehicle accident on Saturday, June 10, 2017

A fatal all-terrain vehicle accident on Coshocton County Road 106 Saturday night has led to an aggravated vehicular homicide charge being filed against a North Canton man.

Coshocton County sheriff's deputies charged Richard Kozlowski, 23, with the charge after the passenger in a Polaris UTV Kozlowski was operating died as the result of injuries sustained when ejected from the vehicle during a rollover accident.

Authorities had not released the name of the victim as of press time today, according to a dispatcher at the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office. Kozlowski was reportedly driving the Polaris UTV westbound on County Road 106 at approximately 5:57 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of the vehicle. The UTV overturned and the passenger was ejected, leaving him unresponsive on the roadway.

Coshocton County EMS treated the victim at the scene, but he was pronounced dead a short time later by medical personnel. The victim's name was being withheld pending the notification of next-of-kin.

The report did not say what, if any, injuries were suffered by Kozlowski. The sheriff's office reported Kozlowski's blood-alcohol level was in excess of Ohio's legal limit (0.08) for a motorist.
