Collier County, FL : 1 dead in crash involving Collier County deputy on US 41 at Immokalee Road on Saturday, 5th January 2019
One person is dead after crashing with a Collier County deputy on US 41 at Immokalee Road.
The crash involved a deputy in a marked car and someone driving a Lincoln Town Car. The deputy was driving north on US 41 with his emergency lights on. The Lincoln was in the southbound left turn lane of 41 and pulled in front of the deputy. The deputy tried to swerve out of the way, but crashed into the right side of the Lincoln.
The second car then traveled off the roadway and hit a sign for the Germain BMW dealership and a streetlight in the parking lot. The 94-year-old driver of the Lincoln, identified of Arthur Roshask, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
