Fort Myers, FL : Saturday crash in Cape Coral sends one to hospital on Saturday, February 25th 2017
Cape Coral police are investigating a serious crash that sent one person to the hospital with life-threatening injuries on Saturday afternoon.
A multivehicle crash at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Santa Barbara Boulevard caused traffic delays for several hours while the investigation was conducted.
Cloie Jane Hall, 75, of Cape Coral, suffered the life-threatening injury and was taken to a local hospital.
Cape police said Hall was turning left from Veterans Parkway West onto Santa Barbara Boulevard, in the inside left-hand turn lane and a second vehicle, a 2015 silver Toyota Sienna van, was traveling west on Veterans Parkway E, approaching Santa Barbara Boulevard, and in the inside straight lane.
A third vehicle, a 2014 black Lexus RX 350 SUV, was traveling west on Veterans Parkway East, approaching Santa Barbara Boulevard, and in the outside straight lane. Two other vehicles were stopped at a red light, a 2007 red Lexus GS 350 in the inside straight lane facing south on Santa Barbara Boulevard at the intersection with Veterans Parkway and the other, a 2015 Honda motorcycle, in the center straight lane facing south on Santa Barbara Boulevard at Veterans Parkway.
