WILMINGTON, MA : Driver ejected from car in I-93 Wilmington crash on Wednesday, 14th October, 2020

A 24-year-old Lynn man suffered serious injuries when he was ejected from his car during a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 93 south in Wilmington on Wednesday morning.

The man — who was not identified by police — is expected to survive, according to State Police spokesman Dave Procopio.

Police were notified about the crash around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, when the vehicle was spotted in the woods off Interstate 93 south, near Exit 38, by another driver.

Police arrived on scene to find a 2005 Honda Accord “well into the woods,” according to Procopio. The victim was found lying on the ground in the wood line between the edge of the road and where the car came to a rest.

“The victim was unresponsive but alive,” Procopio said.
