LAYTON, OH : 1 killed in 3-vehicle crash on SR 193 in Layton on Thursday, 20th October 2022

A 75-year-old man was killed and a woman was taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle collision on state Route 193 in Layton on Thursday.

Layton Sgt. Michael Donnelly said police were called around 4:49 p.m. and responded to a collision at 931 East and Route 193. Donnelly said that a 50-year-old woman was driving an SUV westbound on Route 193, and collided with the driver's side of a pickup truck as it was coming out of the entrance of the Quail Ridge mobile home park.

The driver of the truck, a 75-year-old man, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. After the initial collision, the truck then hit a third vehicle which was on Route 193.

The woman was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening.
