Taunton, MA : 27-year-old New Bedford woman killed in Taunton crash identified as Breanne Cabral on Friday, 15th February 2019

A 27-year-old New Bedford woman has died a day after crashing her car down an embankment on the side of Route 140 in Taunton, state police said.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on the southbound side of the highway, prior to Exit 10, state police said.

The driver, identified as Breanne Cabral, was able to speak to troopers and EMS personnel as they arrived at the scene, state police said. However, Cabral’s condition worsened and she was taken by medical helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital.

On Thursday, Cabral succumbed to her injuries, state police state.

A 27-year-old woman who was a passenger in the car was not injured.
