Omaha, NE : Man in stolen car, delivery driver injured in collision on Tuesday, February 7, 2017
Two motorists were injured Tuesday when a man driving a stolen sedan in the wrong direction on a southeast Omaha street collided with a sport utility vehicle, police said.
A 2010 Nissan Versa was traveling south in 20th Street’s north lanes when it collided nearly head-on just north of Center Street with a northbound black 1995 Nissan Pathfinder, police said.
The SUV was driven by a Jimmy John’s restaurant delivery driver. The vehicles collided about 3:15 p.m.
The driver of the Versa, a 30-year-old Lincoln resident, suffered a dislocated hip, police said.
The driver of the Pathfinder, Jeffery C. Brand, 40, of Omaha suffered a broken ankle, police said.
Neither man was wearing a seat belt, police said.
