A 12-year-old was hit by a car outside of Parsley Elementary School around 7:30 Monday morning.
According to Valita Quattlebaum, spokesperson for New Hanover County Schools, the 7th grader from Roland-Grise Middle School was hit as he was walking to his bus stop.
Wilmington police said the child was not walking in a crosswalk.
Deputy Superintendent Rick Holliday said the student was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
