GRAND COUNTY, CO : Berthoud Pass reopened after deadly crash on Friday, 19th April 2024

U.S. 40 was closed in both directions over Berthoud Pass after a fatal crash Friday afternoon.
The Colorado State Patrol said there was a head-on crash with one confirmed fatality at around 3:20 p.m. Two more people were taken to the hospital.
CSP tweeted just before 9:30 p.m. that the road was back open.
