STURGIS, SD : A man died in a motorcycle-deer crash in Meade County on Sunday, 13th May 2018
A man died in a motorcycle-deer crash Sunday afternoon in Meade County.
The 39-year-old man was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson southbound on South Dakota Highway 79, about 8 miles northeast of Sturgis, according to a news release from the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
Just after 3 p.m., according to the release, a deer ran onto the road and collided with the motorcycle.
The driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle when it overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
