The driver of the vehicle that collided with an SUV outside Pottsboro on Wednesday has died.
Austin Brown, 22, of Pottsboro, died Thursday of injuries sustained in the two-vehicle crash on FM 120, near Fulton Lane. Brown was transported by helicopter to the Medical Center of Plano following the wreck. Department of Public Safety Trooper Mark Tackett said he did not have updates on the conditions of the two other people injured in the collision.
The wreck occurred at about 5 p.m. when Mr. Brown’s Chevrolet Camaro was traveling eastbound and entered the oncoming traffic lane. Tackett said Brown was passing in his vehicle and lost control. The Camaro hit a westbound Toyota SUV, driven by Katherine McKelmurry, 59.
