ATLANTA, GA : 1 dead in crash between car, tractor-trailer on I-20 in Cobb County on Thursday, 25th July 2024

One person died Thursday morning in a crash on I-20 East in Cobb County, according to police.

The incident happened around 3:40 a.m. west of Riverside Parkway. A 2008 Pontiac G6 was traveling in the right lane when it suddenly rotated and hit the median wall twice. A semi pulling a 53-foot-long trailer then hit the back of the Pontiac, causing the car to “tumble” and stop on the road’s shoulder, according to police.

The tractor-trailer jack-knifed and also stopped on the shoulder. Its two occupants, a 48-year-old man and 45-year-old woman, were not injured, police said.
