BELOIT, WI : BPD Intern with minor injuries after squad car hit and run on Saturday, 20th July 2024

A car crashed into a Beloit Police squad car, causing minor injuries to an intern who was in the squad car Saturday night.

According to BPD, an officer was on a traffic stop on Prairie Ave when a passing car crashed into his squad car. The officer was not in the car, but an intern was riding along.

The driver ran away after the crash. The officer on the traffic stop chased the suspect and arrested him for the hit and run, as well as for multiple warrants he had through Dane County.

The intern in the squad car suffered minor injuries, according to BPD, including a possible concussion.
