Warrenton, VA : Head-on truck crash in Manassas ends in fatality on Saturday, September 30th 2017
A 23-year-old Woodbridge man died Saturday from injuries he suffered in a head-on crash with a truck on Brentsville Road, police say.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 2:15 p.m. Sept. 29 in the 9300 block of Brentsville Road outside Manassas.
The driver of a 1997 Ford F350 was traveling westbound on Brentsville Road, when the truck crossed over the double yellow line and collided head-on with the driver of a 2005 Ford Ranger, who was traveling eastbound on Brentsville Road, said Prince William police spokesman Nathan Probus.
The driver of the Ranger, identified by police as Terry Lee Cunningham Jr., 23, of Woodbridge, was eventually flown to a nearby hospital, where he died of his injuries on Sept. 30.
The driver of the F350, identified by police as a 35-year-old Bristow man, was also flown to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police say it is unknown at this time if speed or drug use are factors in this crash. Probus said charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
