Detroit, MI : One driver dead, One driver arrested after police chase ends in crash on Tuesday morning June 17th 2014

One driver is dead and another arrested after a police chase and crash early Tuesday morning on Detroit's west side.

Local 4 has learned that police tried to pull over the driver of a Chevy Blazer, but he took off.

A chase ensued until the driver of the blazer hit another car and then a utility pole on Livernois near Fenkell.

Sources said the blazer's driver was ejected and died.

The driver of the other car that was hit was not seriously hurt, but was arrested on a drunken driving charge.
