Two Twentynine Palms residents were arrested Sunday, Feb. 4, following a high speed pursuit that ended when vehicle rolled over.
Kout Huot, 39, was arrested for felony evading and outstanding warrants.
Cori Aragon, 31, was arrested for resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer and for her outstanding warrants.
Both were booked into the Morongo Basin Jail.
Events that led to their arrests began at about 1:30 p.m. when deputies tried to stop a vehicle, leaving Tortoise Rock Casino on Baseline Road and Adobe Road, for expired registration.
The driver, Huot, failed to stop and reportedly led deputies on a high-speed pursuit which ended after two miles when Huot lost control and his vehicle rolled over.
Huot and, Aragon, a passenger, ran from the vehicle but were taken into custody following a foot pursuit.
A records check showed both had outstanding warrants. Neither was injured in the accident.
