Albany,NY : Arrest made in hit-and-run that killed woman at bus stop on September, Tuesday 26th 2017

Authorities have arrested the man who fled the scene of a deadly crash last week after killing a woman who was sitting at a bus stop, multiple sources say.

While details of the arrest were not immediately available, 36-year-old Olvy R. Torres, of New York, was apprehended on Monday. It's unclear if he turned himself in or where police may have found him.

Authorities say Torres was driving a small SUV on River Road around 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 26 when he crashed into a bus stop near Palisades Medical Center. Torres allegedly left the vehicle at the scene and fled on foot.
