Stewartville, MN : Iowa woman injured in crash on wet highway on Friday afternoon, March 18, 2016

An Iowa woman was injured late Friday afternoon when the car she was driving rear-ended a vehicle stopped at a stoplight on U.S. 63 in Stewartville.

The State Patrol said Laura S. Zubrod, 33, of Cresco was driving south on the highway, which was wet at the time, when she hit a stopped car driven by Laura J. Peters, 60, of Stewartville.

Zubrod was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital - Saint Marys Campus, in Rochester. Peters had no apparent injury, the patrol said. She was still being evaluated at 8 p.m. Friday, according to a Mayo spokeswoman.

The crash was reported at 4:35 p.m.
