RICHMOND, VA: Driver arrested in Chamberlayne crash that killed Pennsylvania woman on Sunday, 5th May 2024

Richmond police have arrested a man in connection to a three-car crash on Chamberlayne Avenue that killed a Pennsylvania woman Sunday night.

Just after 11:30 p.m. on May 5, RPD found a three-vehicle collision in the 3600 block of Chamberlayne Avenue near West Laburnum Avenue. Officers found a damaged vehicle in the right northbound travel lane with three people inside— including one woman, identified as 28-year-old Meredith Norris of Allison Park, PA.

Two other damaged vehicles, a sedan and a pickup truck, were on the scene.

Norris was transported to a local hospital, where she later died. The other two passengers of the first vehicle were transported to a local hospital for injuries.
