TEHAMA COUNTY, CA : Man arrested after the CHP responds to 3-car crash on Highway 99 on Wednesday, 15th May 2024

The CHP said they arrested a man after they responded to a multi-car crash on Highway 99 and Kansas Avenue on Wednesday morning.The CHP said they were notified of the crash at 7:15 a.m., and when crews arrived, they found a three-car crash that was blocking Highway 99.

The CHP said an 18-year-old man was driving a F-250 truck and was attempting to pass a semi-truck. He pulled out, side-swiped another truck, and bounced back into the back of the semi-truck.

The F-250 suffered major damage and was taken away by a tow truck.

The driver of the F-250 suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to a hospital.
