New Castle, PA : 3 injured in accident near high school Tuesday morning, March 28, 2017
Three people were taken to area hospitals after a traffic accident in front of New Castle High School Tuesday morning.
Anthony T. Respress, 44, of Neshannock Avenue, was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital and his passenger, Alaya Respress, 15, of the same address, was taken to UPMC Jameson following the accident, which occurred at 7:44 a.m. David M. Polding, 55, of Highland Avenue, was also taken to UPMC Jameson.
Police stated that a Dodge Dart operated by Polding was traveling east on East Lincoln Avenue and a Dodge Avenger driven by Anthony Respress was traveling west when Polding started to turn left onto Centennial Street in front of Respress,who struck him.
The report states that Respress was exceeding the 15 mile per hour speed limit in the school zone.
Both cars had to be towed from the scene.
St. Elizabeth’s officials had no information about Anthony Respress. Attempts to determine the other two victims’ conditions were unsuccessful.
