PANAMA CITY, FL : 1 killed, 1 injured in 231 crash on Saturday, November 12th 2016

One woman died and another was seriously injured in a collision Saturday evening on U.S. 231.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported Otill C. Dabbs, 91, of Youngstown was killed while trying to pull onto U.S. 231 from Julie Drive. She pulled her Toyota Corolla into the path of a southbound Dodge Neon being driven by Sherika Barnes, 25, of Pompano Beach. Barnes sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

One lane of southbound U.S. 231 was closed temporarily after the crash. FHP reported both women were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor.
