NORTH CHARLESTON, SC : I-526 crash involving 18-wheeler causing backups in morning commute on Thursday, 11th February 2021

A crash early Thursday morning closed one eastbound lane of I-526 and caused a backups on I-526 and I-26.
The crash involved two vehicles, including an 18-wheeler, according to North Charleston Deputy Police Chief Scott Deckard.
The crash was reported at around 7:15 a.m. on I-526 near North Rhett Avenue.
Authorities said the left lane was blocked. The crash, combined with fog, contributed to a backup of at least a mile.
Deckard said the crash involved minor injuries.
