McPherson, KS : 2 injured in crash on K-56 on Friday, November 11, 2016

At approximately 7:32 p.m. on Nov. 11, a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Robin Albers, 58 of Smolan was on the south bound Interstate 135 off ramp at U.S. Highway 56 and failed to yield right of way to a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Verle Amthauer, 55 of Junction City, who was going eastbound. Albers’ vehicle struck Amthauer’s.

Albers and an 11-year old passenger were transferred to McPherson Hospital. Amthauer and passenger Marie Amthauer, 65 of Junction City, were uninjured.

The vehicle driven by Albers was removed from the scene by Main Street Wrecker.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol incident report, all those involved in the crash were properly restrained.
