STOUT, OH : A 38-year-old woman died as the result of a single-vehicle crash on Saturday, August 26, 2017
A 38-year-old woman died as the result of a single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Scioto County.
The Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol received a call of a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 52 at milepost 6 in Stout at 2:20 p.m.
Renee Rogers, 38, of Manchester, was traveling west on U.S. 52 in a 2000 GMC Sierra 2500. She drove off the left side of the roadway at a high rate of speed and struck a tree.
Rogers suffered incapacitating injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Scioto County Coroner’s Office.
Post 73 was assisted at the scene by Nile and Washington Volunteer Fire Departments, Nile Squad 1 and Portsmouth Ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
