Issaquah, WA : 16-year-old girl injured in a single-car crash City of Issaquah on Sunday morning, March 15, 2015
A high-speed crash coming off of the Issaquah Highlands seriously injured a teenage girl on Sunday morning.
The crash happened around 9 a.m. on Highlands Drive NE. Issaquah Police say a 16-year-old girl was speeding while traveling south when she lost control of her car south of Discovery Drive NE. The car crossed the road, went over a guardrail and into a wooded area.
The teen was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she was listed in serious condition. She was the only person in the car.
Police say that it isn’t known if other factors were involved in the crash, besides speed.
One northbound lane of Highlands Drive was closed for the rest of Sunday morning as investigators from Issaquah police and the Washington State Patrol processed the scene.
