SHELBY COUNTY, IN : 1 killed, 9 hospitalized in I-74 crash near Shelbyville on Monday, 13th May 2024

Indiana State Police and Shelby County sheriff's deputies are investigating a deadly crash that happened on Interstate 74 Monday afternoon.

The crash involving a charter bus and another vehicle was reported shortly after 2 p.m. May 13.

An ISP spokesperson said their preliminary investigation determined 52-year-old Jason Huber, of Boggstown, Indiana, was driving eastbound on I-74 when his van crashed into the back of a stopped bus. It's not clear what caused traffic to back up and stop in that area.
