HUDSON, FL : Port Richey woman dies in car crash on U.S. 19 on Saturday, 31st March 2018

A driver died Saturday night after trying to pull onto U.S. 19 near State Road 52, state troopers reported.

Christina Nicole Costarella, 39 of Port Richey, was exiting a driveway on the 12200 block of U.S. 19 at 9:17 p.m. Driving a 2004 Jaguar X-Type, she turned southbound onto the highway, according to a Florida Highway Patrol release.

At the same time, Paul Alan Fullington, 48 of Hudson, was driving a 2007 Mazda 6 southbound in the right lane.

Costarella pulled in front of Fullington, whose car crashed into the left side of the Jaguar, the FHP reported. Responders took Costarella to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, where she died from her injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to troopers.

There were no charges in the incident.
