Richland County, SC : Early morning police chase results in fatal crash two dead on Tuesday, 18th July 2023

Two people were killed following a police chase early Monday morning in Richland County, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Officials say the crash took place just after 3 a.m. along Mallet Hill Road following a chase between law enforcement and three people a Honda SUV.

The driver of the SUV was trying to avoid authorities when the car veered off the side of the road and hit a tree, fire hydrant, and fence.

After the incident, officials say the driver was taken to the hospital for their injuries. The two passengers of the SUV died from their injuries.
