Byesville, OH : Two men injured after the vehicle they occupied collided with second vehicle at the intersection of Lucasburg Road and Voytko Lane on Saturday evening, February 13, 2016
Two Byesville men were transported to area hospitals after the vehicle they occupied collided with a second vehicle at the intersection of Lucasburg Road and Voytko Lane Saturday evening.
Trevor Rusnak, 20, and Brandon Milner, 21, were transported by United Ambulance to Southeastern Med in Cambridge and Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, respectively. Additional information regarding either victim's condition or treatment was not available as of press time Monday.
The driver of the second vehicle, Keith E. Carpenter, 32, Lore City, suffered possible minor injuries, but was not transported to the hospital. A passenger, Brittney McCulley, 22, Lore City, was not injured.
According to the Cambridge post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Carpenter was northbound on Voytko Lane (Township Road 4301) when failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and pulled onto Lucasburg Road (TR 434) where the truck was struck by an eastbound 2001 Nissan Ultima driven by Rusnak at 4:55 p.m.
Emergency responders from the Byesville Fire Department, United Ambulance and highway patrol were dispatched to the scene.
Both vehicles reportedly sustained extensive damage.
A caller to the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office reported one of the victims suffered a possible broken leg, according to a dispatch log.
Emergency responders remained at the scene until just after 6 p.m.
Carpenter was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
No other information was available as of press time.
The accident remained under investigation by the highway patrol.
