DAYTON, OH : Dayton Police chase ends in crash on Wednesday, 26th October 2016
Dayton Police were chasing a car on the city’s west side Wednesday afternoon when the car crashed into a tree.
Police say the car was stolen but did not elaborate on how the car was taken. Police tried to pull the car over but the driver did not stop. A short chase ensued, reached speeds of more than 70 mph until the car crashed into a tree in the 900 block of Salem Avenue.The driver, who police say is a juvenile, was arrested without incident. Police also tell 2 NEWS the suspect had a gun in his possession at the time but followed the commands of the officers, leaving the gun inside the car.
The suspect faces charges of aggravated robbery and may face more charges after the investigation is complete.
