Sacramento, CA : Pedestrian killed in accident on Hwy. 16 just west of Interstate 505 early on Tuesday, 17th December, 2019

The California Highway Patrol is asking for help in developing further information on the death of a pedestrian on Hwy. 16 just west of Interstate 505 early Tuesday.

According to a preliminary investigation by the CHP, the accident occurred around 1:25 a.m. on westbound Hwy. 16 when a 2007 Nissan collided with a pedestrian, identified by the Yolo County Coroner’s Office Tuesday as a 59-year-old male transient.

The identity of the driver of the Nissan was not released by the CHP, although he remained at the scene after the accident.
