Bella Vista ,CA :17-year-old girl died along Highway 299 on Sunday , June 28th 2015

A 17-year-old girl died early this morning after crashing her car on Highway 299 in the Bella Vista area, according to the California Highway Patrol.Officers said the
crash happened just before 3 a.m. just west of the intersection of Deschutes Road.Officers said the girl’s 1997 Chevrolet Lumina was the only car involved in the
crash.They don’t believe alcohol was a factor, but said the girl was driving fast and left the south side of the roadway for some reason.The car crashed into an
embankment and rolled several times, and the girl – who was not wearing her seatbelt – was thrown from the car, officers said.The roadway was closed for about an hour
as crews cleaned up a large amount of debris from the crash, which left the car on its roof in the eastbound lane of 299.Anyone with information on the crash is asked
to call the CHP at 242-3210.
