Olympia, WA : A fatal crash near Tenino on Wednesday, August 9, 2017

The driver in a fatal crash Wednesday evening near Tenino will likely be charged with vehicular homicide.

Keith B. Milligan, 57, appeared in Thurston County Superior Court on Thursday afternoon, and Commissioner Nathan Kortokrax found probable cause for the charge. He set bail at $100,000.

Thurston County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the two-vehicle crash on the 15000 block of McDuff Road Southeast at about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

A northbound pickup truck crossed the center line and struck a southbound sedan head-on, according to Sgt. Carla Carter of the sheriff’s office. The driver of the sedan was killed. No other occupants were in the vehicles.The Thurston County Coroner’s Office identified the sedan driver who was killed as Eldon G. McLean, 66, of Tenino.

Milligan, a Tenino resident, was believed to be impaired while driving, and he was taken to a local hospital for blood samples. He was later arrested.
