CONCORD, NH : 3 hurt in crashes after dump truck hits bridge; I-93 S closed in Concord on Thursday, 14th March 2019

A dump truck hit the Route 4 overpass Thursday morning on Interstate 93 South in Concord, forcing crews to shut down the road. The Route 4 overpass is also closed.

The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. Thursday.Officials said the dump truck had its bed in the upright position and struck the bridge, bent a bridge beam and took out a highway sign.

Crews will need to repair the beam and install a new sign before all lanes can reopen.

Cars swerved around the debris and crashed. Three people were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
