One woman was injured on U.S 69 wreck

One woman was injured Tuesday afternoon when the vehicle in which she was riding was struck on the passenger side door on U.S. 69, north of Lufkin, at the intersection of state Highway 2021.

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Michael Thomason said a silver Mazda, driven by Michael Hamilton, was attempting to cross the highway and continue westbound on state Highway 2021 when a Chevrolet Cadillac, driven by Todd Sampson, who was traveling southbound on U.S. 69, hit the Mazda on its side door.
