Four people are recovering from injuries suffered when a fire truck with its emergency lights and sirens on was involved in a multi-vehicle crash outside Rochester.
The Spencerport Fire Department rig, a utility truck with a small water tank used mainly for grass fires, was responding to a house fire Monday evening when the crash occurred. It was hit by a car at an intersection and spun around, striking an SUV and then flipping onto its side.
The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reports the firefighter suffered minor injuries. Three other people involved in the crash were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
