Terry, MS : One person killed in hit-and-run crash on I-55 in Terry on Monday morning, March 23, 2015

Mississippi Highway Patrol officials are working to identify a pedestrian killed on I-55 in Terry Monday morning.

MHP spokesman Trooper Eric Henry said at 8:09 a.m., troopers were called to the I-55 east frontage road near Skinner Chevrolet where passers by had noticed a body laying on the side of the road.

Preliminary reports are that the body is that of an unidentified middle-aged black male.

Investigators are looking into the matter as a hit and run. So far there are no witnesses and no vehicle information.
