Bakersfield, CA : Driver killed in rollover crash in the Taft area Sunday, March 26, 2017

The driver of an SUV that drifted off the road early Sunday in the Taft area was ejected when the vehicle overturned, Taft police said.

Louis Anthony Seal Jr., 21, died at the scene, police said.

Officers were dispatched just after 2 a.m. to the 900 block of Petroleum Road and learned that a green 1996 Ford Explorer was traveling from Maricopa to Taft when it left the roadway and overturned several times. Police said two men who were passengers in the vehicle were taken to local hospitals.

None of the occupants were wearing seat belts, police said, and alcohol is suspected to be a factor.
