Perry Township, PA : Driver flown to Pittsburgh after Perry crash on Saturday, 8th December 2018
A woman was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital with injuries and her passenger was arrested after a one-car crash early in Perry Township.
State police reported that Tonya Durand, 32, of Prospect, the driver of the car, had to be freed from the car through her sun roof. She was taken by ambulance to UPMC Cranberry Passavant, then flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Information about her condition was unavailable because UPMC no longer provides patient condition information.
Durand was driving on State Route 488 near Pleasant Hill Road around 12:20 a.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve at high speed. Her car went off the road and hit a telephone pole and sheared it in half, police said.
