Ashland, WI : Two injured in Marengo accident Tuesday evening, September 27, 2016

An Ashland County woman and her daughter were both injured after the sport utility vehicle they were riding in was rear-ended near an intersection in Marengo Tuesday evening.

Injured were Paris McBain and her daughter Jenna Juoni of Marengo.

According to the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office news release, McBain was traveling southbound on State Highway 13 and slowing to turn left onto Main Street in Marengo when it was struck from behind by a pickup driven by an Ashland man whose name was not immediately released.

The impact pushed the SUV into the path of a semi-truck traveling northbound, resulting in a secondary collision, which caused the SUV to roll over.

Both McBain and Juoni were transported to Memorial Medical Center in Ashland by ambulance where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Both were wearing safety belts at the time of the accident.

The accident remains under investigation by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office.
