CHESTERFIELD, VA : Ambulance involved in crash on Midlothian Turnpike on Wednesday, 25th October 2023

An ambulance was involved in a crash on Wednesday morning that closed down part of Midlothian Turnpike just after 9 a.m.

The ambulance was on its way to the hospital with a patient who was injured in an earlier crash around 8:30 a.m. near Midlothian Turnpike and Heaths Way Road.

Police say in the first crash, there was a report that someone was ejected from a vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries.

“While they were being transported to the hospital, the ambulance in which they were being transported was involved in a crash at the intersection of Midlothian Turnpike and Tuxford Road. There is no indication anyone was seriously injured in that crash,” Chesterfield Police said.
