TOLEDO, OH : Driver crashes into boy riding bike in Toledo on Friday, 13th September 2024

A child on a bike was hospitalized Friday night after being hit by a car.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Friday night near Hill and Independence in Toledo. Toledo Police records say a 40-year-old driver was heading west on Hill in the left through lane. An 11-year-old boy was riding his bike on the sidewalk on the north side of Hill, before entering the road.

Police say the driver then crashed into the boy on the bike. He was taken to an area hospital with injuries police described as non-life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation.
