Louisville, KY : Coroner identifies victim in Friday motorcycle crash on Friday, March 24th 2017

One person was killed Friday night in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 264.

Chad Nelson Read, 37, of Louisville, crashed at approximately 9:27 p.m. Friday, according to chief deputy coroner Jo-Ann Farmer. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:31 p.m.

The crash occurred on I-264 East at the 4.2 mile marker. Excessive speed appears to be a factor and multiple blunt force injuries were identified as the cause of death, Farmer said.

Funeral arrangements will be handled by Newcomer Funeral Home on Juneau Drive.
