SHREVEPORT, LA : Delayed traffic on I-49 due to minor accident on Monday, 3rd June 2024

Expect delays on I-49 south of North market Monday morning.

According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, at 7:30 a.m. there was only one lane open for traffic.

The delay is due to an 18-wheeler trailer truck that caught fire southbound on I-49 south of the Pinehill overpass.

The driver was not hurt as the trailer was detached from the truck before the fire reached him.

Removing the trailer and its contents is expected to take several hours. Please plan your travel accordingly.
