STATEN ISLAND, NY : 4hCar slams into Port Richmond storefront after crash on Monday, 29th March 2021

A car slammed into a Port Richmond storefront Monday afternoon, narrowly missing the owner of the establishment as he worked inside.

The vehicle, a dark-colored Chevy Malibu, appeared to be involved in a crash with a separate sedan before it barreled into Post Candy & Grocery located at 927 Post Ave. just before 4 p.m.

“I was over there filling up the soda,” said Fawzi Yahya, the owner of the store, as he pointed to an area just feet away from the crash. “I’m lucky I wasn’t here.”
