A 28-year-old Newton woman was hurt Monday morning in a two-vehicle wreck in Salina.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said Ashley Valdez Collins, of Newton, was driving a 2011 Chevy pickup south on Santa Fe around 11 a.m. when a westbound 2012 Suzuki passenger car driven by Shirley Sparks, 77, of Salina, on North Street failed to yield.
Valdez Collins' pickup then hit the Suzuki. She was taken to Salina Regional Health Center with injuries, as was Emily Swank, 28 of, Salina, her passenger.
Sparks was not hurt.
The two drivers had on seat belts, but Swank did not, the KHP said.
