Accomack County, VA : Accomack County man dies in fatal crash on Saturday, 11th January, 2020

Just after 6 a.m. Saturday, a motor vehicle crash in Accomack County would prove fatal for one 20-year-old man.

Isaiah Townsend was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt north on Fleming Road when police say he crossed the center line — striking a 2014 Dodge Ram traveling in the opposite direction. Virginia State Police say Townsend had his seat belt fastened, and alcohol played no factor in the collision.

But the Horntown, Virginia, man died as a result of the crash at 5106 Fleming Road, according to police.
